Why: Because it’s nice and quiet in Schiedam, and you still have a traditional square, monumental buildings, old bridges... a lot of craftsmanship, wonderfully historic!

Where can I experience Hoek van Holland?
For a real Hoekse experience, you should stand on the sidelines at The Hookers Rugby Club or drink a beer at one of the genuine village pubs on the Prins Hendriksstraat. Hoek van Holland also has many surf fanatics, so the wide beach of this 'southwestern corner of the Netherlands' forms the context for many days in the life of a typical Hoekenees. Sporty people!
