If you’re ‘into records’ like me, you should follow the ‘vinyl trail’ in West, with music stores Plaatboef, Vinylspot, and Demonfuzz on the route. Only then can you leave the city! You should also take a trip to Schiedam, the historic gem between Rotterdam and Hoek van Holland. You can do a workshop at chocolate paradise De Bonte Koe or one of the many distillers, such as Ketel1 – very artisanal! Besides the world’s tallest (!) windmills, you will also find our two biggest favourites there. The Japanese come from all over to enjoy the homemade noodles at Yokohama, delicious! The traditional Italian La Bella Rosa is just as authentic, for killer pizzas without the fancy frills.
