Why should I go to a Rotterdam event or museum?

Rotterdam is the street culture capital of our small country. We host the Rotterdam Street Culture Weekend, which takes place annually (mid-September) at various locations in Central District and Rotterdam Zuid. From street art to BMX and break dance – all street culture movements are involved! The Vrije Volk Festival is also a huge musical attraction for the free-spirited Rotterdammer; don’t forget your kitsch outfit. Museum-wise, you absolutely have to go to Kunstinstituut Melly in the Witte de With, where a large dose of sociability and inclusiveness gives the contemporary art more depth.
