Question 4 of 5
A relaxed trip through a rather uh... lively city, is that possible?
If I want to show friends my Rotterdam, I put them on a Segway. Embarrassing, I know, but you have no parking costs, it’s fast, and because you look a little silly, it’s a fun way to get in touch with the people you meet along the way. It always makes people smile. We often start at Hotel New York with a magnificent view over the water, just like the terrace of PRACHTIG under the Erasmus Bridge. Café Verhip in the Lloydkwartier is also a regular fixture. You can feel the love and attention they pay to the food and drink. There is also a charismatic entrepreneur at the helm who has a nice click with his staff and welcomes the guests with a lot of humour.
If you want to splash out, I recommend hotel Nhow. The hotel was designed both inside and out by the well-known Rotterdam architect Rem Koolhaas. From your hotel room, you can see boats sailing back and forth all day long with the imposing city in the background.
