Do it like
Tim & Ozzy
Tim (39) owns the restaurant Holy Ravioli in the Oude Noorden, partner Ozzy (39) works there too.
Mix: In ‘their’ street, Zwaanshals, you will find something different on every corner. Just like their neighbourhood, Noord, their menu is bursting with surprising cultural crossovers.
Kids: Son Joa (2.5) and daughter Lua (6) are regularly taken to museums, parks and child-friendly restaurants by their adventurous parents.
Question 1 of 5
Why should I go all the way to Noord?
We had no doubts at all about where we wanted to start our restaurant: it had to be on the hip Zwaanshals in the Oude Noorden area.
Everything and everyone mixes here: from Faas, the old pub on the corner where it’s always really relaxed and you can bring your own food, to the cool new sneaker store Xander Franklin. There are many new businesses, but ‘the old’ has been preserved. For example, I often have a cup of coffee with other entrepreneurs at Tom Coffee, Whiskybase is a little further away and the pet store is also still around. On Saturdays, the Harvest Market has good local and organic products that can only be sold if they meet strict conditions.
