What should I really not miss while I’m in Rotterdam?
Katendrecht. It’s a long bike ride from West, but well worth it. My mother is from Zuid, which used to be a dangerous neighbourhood: keep the windows and doors closed and drive through the neighbourhood quickly. Now it’s a great mix of original ‘Kapenezen’ and new young urbanites with everything they bring. And you can leave your door open.
